Sealless Gear Pumps Reduce Pump Downtime

The Viking Mag Drive 855 series internal gear pumps offer exceptional reliability through their robust, sealless design, which eliminates seal leakage. The pump’s driver turns an outer magnet, whose force passes through a stationary O-ring-sealed canister to turn an inner magnet, which drives the pump shaft without the need for seals. The pumps feature adjustable end clearance to maximize efficiency, and ANSI- or DIN-flanged ports for sealing reliability. They may be close-coupled to NEMA C or IEC B5-flange motors, or long-coupled. Long field life and reduced downtime are also ensured by a thrustcontrolled design that allows short-term run-dry capabilities. This greatly reduces the possibility of damage from priming and accidental empty tank situations. This series of pumps offers flowrates of up to 135 gal/min with pressures up to 200 psi at temperatures ranging from –60°F to 500°F.

Compact Solenoid Valve Simulates Constant Flow

This compact gradient valve simulates a constant flow by utilizing rapid-cycling miniature solenoid valves to dispense gradients from multiple fluid streams in precise, repeatable proportions suitable for precision, high-purity diverting and mixing applications. An innovative armature drives the valve faster, with less energy, to assure controlled flow with repeatable opening and closing times. The gradient valves are designed for flexibility, with a rapid response time of only 2 ms to provide modulating flowrates at constant pressures to simulate a constant flow. A choice of compact, light-weight, spacesaving manifold layouts reconfigures the valves and ports to meet the unique physical space, size, and weight restrictions of the project. Every solenoid actuator on the flow selector valve is set to assure equal flowrates at the same pressure. The valves are offered in PTFE, PEEK and PPS. Diaphragm materials include PTFE, EPDM, Viton and perfluoroelastomer.

Glass-Lined Valve is Quick and Easy to Clean

Designed for use on glass-lined reactors where batch-to-batch cleanability is important, the Clean Valve is a bottom-flush valve that is easy to operate and clean. The self-draining valve allows for a variety of functions (including sampling, gas dispersion, maintenance, etc.) without the need to interrupt the process and without dismantling the valve. The glass-linedsteel design ensures no metal contamination of the process fluid and enables use across a wide temperature and pressure range. The valve seat seals against the bottom outlet nozzle to prevent any collection or build-up of materials in the annular area between the valve seat and nozzle wall. An additional port with a 5-deg. downward sloping angle has been built into the valve to facilitate cleaning of the internal components and body. The Clean Valve features a UniTIP glass-lined steelhead and stem that is machined to provide a smooth-sealing surface for the valve-packing sealing rings. A Teflon-encapsulated Viton O-ring seal located in front of Chevron packing within the sealing neck provides a primary seal and positive sealing against the valve body to eliminate the accumulation of process material above the Chevron packing.

Cleanly Cut with These Water Jet Nozzles

The DYNAJETS high-efficiency water jet nozzles produce an extremely erosive environment, enabling significant increases in cleaning, cutting and drilling rates over conventional jet nozzles. They employ cavitation, acoustic excitation, and turbulent jet interruption and structuring through passive manipulation of the flow to create large high-frequency stresses on the target surface or in the liquid. This is accomplished completely by interaction of the liquid with the nozzle geometry and involves no moving parts or additional power source.
