Women's Initiatives Committee (WIC)

WIC takes a leadership role in promoting the entry, development,
and full participation of women in AIChE and the profession.


Strategies

  • Develop and/or distribute resources on subjects pertaining to women in the profession.
  • Mobilize AIChE to meet the needs of existing and potential female members of AIChE and the profession.
  • Provide networking means for women in AIChE to use each other as resources.
  • Increase the visibility of women within AIChE and the profession.

Recent  WIC Events

  • WIC co-sponsored 2012 Capitol Hill Day, "Diversity and Inclusion Fuels Innovation in STEM"  with the Society of Women Engineers March 21, 2012.
  • AIChE Spring Meeting, Houston, April 2012:  WIC hosted a dynamic networking Luncheon, followed by its Industrial Panel of successful women who are professionals in various industries, representing pivotal career stages including senior, middle and emerging industry leaders.
