AIChE Foundation's Campaign for Web Excellence
The goal of the AIChE Foundation's Campaign for Web Excellence , launched in 2005, was to build a new and improved
www.aiche.org to better represent AIChE as the premier professional society for chemical engineers, and to provide AIChE members with more immediate access to technical information, networking opportunities, and career tools. Thanks to the generosity of AIChE members, divisions, and local sections, that goal has successfully been met, and the revamped www.aiche.org launched in November 2005.
An enhanced members-only area is one of the highlights of the new web design. Online access to the AIChE e-library provides powerful, interactive online access to the most relevant science and engineering text-books, handbooks, standards and databases. AIChE web casting technology is available to all local sections, divisions and forums, at no cost, to conduct full-featured, rich-media web meetings for their respective members. AIChE web hosting services provides local sections and divisions with tailored websites that have enhanced security, dependable service, and a contemporary, professional design. And in the coming months, AIChE members will also have access to topical and personal blogs, as well as a variety of AIChE discussion threads and forums.
Thanks to the generous support from AIChE members from across the country, and AIChE’s Computing and Systems Technology Division (CAST), Catalysis and Reaction Engineering (CRE) Division, Fuels and Petrochemicals Division (F&P), East Tennessee Local Section, East Texas Local Section, and the Charleston West Virginia Local Section, the AIChE Foundation is proud to announce that the Campaign for Web Excellence has successfully met its fundraising goal of $270,000.
